Hello friend!! Pernah gak sih kalian mendengar istilah Recount Text? Pastinya istilah ini tidak asing lagi bagi teman-teman. Nah, untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut mengenai apa sih Recount Text itu? Pengertian, Jenis, dan Contohnya? Yuk kita baca sama-sama.

Definition

Recount Text adalah teks yang berfungsi untuk menceritakan kembali kejadian atau pengalaman yang terjadi di masa lalu. Cerita tersebut dapat berupa aksi atau aktivitas sebelum seseorang menuliskan teks.

Purpose/function

Tujuan recount text adalah untuk menghibur atau memberi informasi kepada pembaca.

Text structure

1.      Orientation

Bagian ini merupakan bagian pembuka atau pendahuluan yang berisi latar belakang dari suatu  kejadian, seperti siapa yang terlibat, atau kapan dan di mana kejadian tersebut terjadi.

2.      Series of Event

Bagian ini merupakan bagian isi teks yang berisi serangkaian kejadian berurutan yang dialami penulis.

3.      Reorientation

Bagian ini merupakan penutup teks yang berisi kesimpulan, pesan, kesan, atau perasaan penulis atas kejadian yang dialami.

Types of Recout

Selanjutnya, yang perlu kalian ketahui adalah beberapa jenis Recount Text! Berikut penjelasannya:

1.      Personal Recount

Personal recount adalah salah satu jenis teks yang bertujuan untuk menceritakan mengenai pengalaman pribadi penulis. Personal recount adalah jenis paling umum yang sering ditemukan dalam penulisan recount.

2.      Factual Recount

Factual recount text merupakan cerita untuk menyajikan laporan terkait peristiwa yang terjadi berdasarkan fakta (benar-benar terjadi)

Jadi, jenis ini tidak terpaku pada kejadian personal, bisa juga kejadian orang lain.

3.      Imaginative Recount

Imaginative recount adalah teks yang biasa digunakan seseorang sebagai cerita dari perisitiwa imajinatif yang dialami oleh seseorang. Contohnya recount text yang menceritakan pengalaman penulis mengenai khayalan yang ia dapat dari mimpi.

4.      Historical Recount

Historical recount adalah bentuk recount text yang isinya menceritakan peristiwa sejarah.

Kaidah Kebahasaan (Language Features) Recount Text

1.      Using Simple Past Tense

Kenapa harus Simple Past Tense? Karena kejadian yang diceritakan adalah kejadian yang terjadi di masa lampau, jadi kita harus menggunakan tense yang berfungsi untuk mengungkapkan kejadian yang terjadi di masa lampau yaitu Simple Past Tense.

Pola kalimatnya terbagi menjadi dua, yaitu ada verbal sentence dengan rumus subject + verb 2 + complement dan nominal sentence yang rumusnya  subject + be + complement.

Berikut contoh kalimatnya:

Last week, my friends and I went to Jogja

(Minggu lalu, saya dan teman-teman pergi ke Jogja)

Went merupakan bentuk simple past tense dari go

1.      Using Adverb of Time and Adverb of Sequence

Adverb of Time (Keterangan Waktu) digunakan untuk menunjukkan masa lalu.

Contohnya antara lain:

·         Yesterday

·         Last week

·         Last month

·         An hour ago

·         A year ago

Sedangkan Adverb of Sequence (Keterangan Urutan) digunakan untuk menunjukkan urutan terjadinya kejadian. Contohnya antara lain:

·         First

·         Then

·         After that

·         At last

·         Finally

1.      Using personal participant

Personal participant contohnya seperti I, my group, my friends, my husband, etc. Dalam recount text, biasanya personal participant akan muncul di bagian orientation sebagai pengenalan tokoh ataupun karakter dalam cerita.

2.      Using action verb

Action verb adalah kata kerja yang merujuk pada tindakan yang kamu lakukan dan bisa terlihat oleh orang lain. Verb ini dikenal juga degan dynamic verb. Contoh kalimatnya:

First, we visited Parangtritis beach

(Pertama, kami mengunjungi pantai Parangtritis)

Visited adalah kata kerja yang bisa terlihat oleh orang  lain.

3.      Using conjunction

Conjunction adalah bgian dari part of speech yang tugasnya adalah menghubungkan dua kata, frasa, atau kalimat. Contoh-contoh conjunction dalam recount text adalah and, or, until, although, while, but, and many more. Perhatikan contoh berikut ini:

One of my friends warned me that Samyang was very spicy,  but I didn’t want to listen to her.

(Salah satu teman saya memperingatkan saya bahwa Samyang sangat pedas, tetapi saya tidak mau mendengarkannya).

1.      Using adverbs

Secara sederhana, adverbs adalah kata keterangan. Ia memberikan lebih banyak informasi atau mendeskripsikan lebih detail dari kata kerja, kata sifat, dan kata lainnya.

Contoh extremely, carefully, slowly, etc. Kalau dalam kalimat, contohnya adalah :

She walked carefully

(Dia berjalan hati-hati)

Carefully berperan untuk menerangkan kata kerja walked

Contoh Personal Recount Text

Climbing

Last holiday,I went to the Tanggamus Mountain in Tanggamus district, Lampung. I have never climbed it before. I went there with some of my friends. We started climbing at 7 p.m  it was so dark but I felt no worry because all of my friends were professional climber.

We climbed slowly and enjoyed the moment. After climbing for about 7 hours, we could reach the top  of the mountain. There were a lot of other climbers who reached that top faster than us. We waited the  sun rose while cooking some food and drinking coffee  to get warmed. Others sang some songs together, shared stories or lied on the ground to take a rest. After seeing the sun rose, we prepared tend because we wanted to stay there for three days. We really enjoyed the moment and did so many interesting activities there .

After all, that was my greatest l have ever had in my life. It was really tiring but I was very happy.

Contoh Factual Recount Text

Recently, in  the Surabaya area there have been a lot of gangster or illegal motorbike racers. These racers often fight or argue with other groups of racers. So that the people of Surabaya feel afraid.

Then the police made arrests of illegal racers who had endangered local residents and caused fear.

The police have reported to residents so they don’t have to worry anymore  about the racers, because the police have secured them.

The First Day Activities Of The Princess

Being a princess is never an easy task. That also applied of Princess Adelle. Her day was never easy. Her schedules had always been prepared beforehand by the royal assistant. She barely had any free day. Sometimes, even on national holidays, she got a schedule. That day was not very different.

It was the first day of 2017 and Princess Adelle was very tired because she was up all night, attending The New Year’s Eve event in the Royal Palace. Although she cloud barely sleep, she tried to wake up early. She woke up at 6 a.m. She should be ready before 8 a.m., so she washed herself and put on the dress that had been prepared for her by her assistant. After that, she had breakfast with the member of the royal family. At 9 a.m., she went to a charity event for the orphans held by several social institutions of the country. The event finished right before the time for lunch, so Princess Adelle enjoyed her lunch with the company of social workers and the orphan children. After lunch, she continued her schedule to attend the inauguration of a new public school near the palace. She gave her speech there mentioning that she was very happy to be invited to the event. She hoped that the new school would be able to help the students to be successful in the future.

Contoh Historical Recount Text

Bandung as Sea of Fire

Bandung as Sea of Fire was a fire that occurred in the city of Bandung on March 24, 1946. Within seven hours, about 200,000 residents of Bandung burned their homes.

British troops as part of the Brigade MacDonald arrived in Bandung on October 12, 1945. Bandung was deliberately burned by TRI and local people. There were black smoke billowing high into the air everywhere. The British Army began to attack so fierce. The greatest battle happened in the Village name Dayeuh Kolot, in South Bandung, where there were a large ammunition depot belonging to British. In the battle, Barisan Rakyat Indonesia destroyed the ammunition depot.

The strategy to fire Bandung was considered because the power of TRI and people’s militia was not comparable to the British forces and NICA. This incident inspired to created the famous song “Halo, Halo Bandung”.

Telomoyo Mountain

Late last year, my friends and I went to the top of Mount Telomoyo. We rode our motorcycles there. The weather on that day was very sunny and favorable. Because the trip was quite long, we took the time to rest. However, in the middle of the trip, a friend of mine fell and almost fell into a ravine. After being checked, fortunately there were no serious injuries and we continued our journey. Arriving at the top of Telomoyo, we were mesmerized by the natural beauty of the surroundings. We captured the moment with a photo. After taking pictures, we decided to go down and find lunch and continue our journey home.
